Conformal radiotherapy, which aims to provide both antitumoral and antisecretory effects, can be considered, but data on its efficacy is limited. Chemotherapy, specifically with the oral alkylating agent temozolomide, is also used in treating pituitary carcinoma and has improved progression-free and overall survival rates. Antisecretory medications, such as dopamine agonists, steroidogenesis inhibitors, and somatostatin analogues, are also crucial in controlling pituitary hormone hypersecretion in patients with pituitary carcinoma.
