  Ventral Hernias of the abdomen is characterized by a defect in the fascia of the abdominal wall that is noninguinal and hiatal. These hernias typically arise from either acquired or congenital origins. Acquired ventral hernias commonly stem from factors such as previous surgical procedures leading to incisional hernias, traumatic injuries, or repetitive stress exerted on inherently weak areas of the abdominal wall. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) manifests when a breach occurs in the diaphragm, the thin muscular partition separating the chest and abdominal cavity. The anterior abdominal wall comprises several layers, including skin, adipose tissue, fascia, muscle, and peritoneum. The arrangement of these layers varies depending on the specific entry point into the abdomen perpendicularly.
