Clinically, CGD is characterized by recurrent infections primarily caused by a limited spectrum of pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus, Aspergillus species, Klebsiella species, Burkholderia cepacia, Serratia marcescens, and Salmonella species. Additionally, patients often experience inflammatory complications, such as inflammatory bowel disease.
