In rare cases, maternal Dup15q may also lead to psychosis or unexplained death. Approximately 30 percent of individuals with Dup15q Syndrome have strabismus (crossed eyes), and about 20-30 percent experience growth-related issues resulting in smaller stature. Hypotonia tends to improve with age, and in some cases, it may progress to hypertonia, especially in the lower legs.
