ACC tumors have a distinct histological pattern that consists of abnormal "nests" or cords of specific cells (epithelial cells) that surround and infiltrate ducts or glandular structures within the affected organ. Such characteristics are visible during a microscopic examination of tumor cells in a biopsy sample.
