Notable ecological risk factors include advanced age, male gender, fair complexion, immunosuppression, and an actinic keratosis (AK) history. Chronic exposure to sunlight is the foremost environmental determinant associated with CSCC development. Specific populations, such as solid-organ transplant recipients, individuals with human papillomavirus infection, or those who have chronic lymphocytic leukemia, exhibit elevated susceptibility to CSCC compared to the general populace.
