Alveolar soft part sarcoma is an infrequent type of soft tissue sarcoma. It primarily impacts adolescents and young adults and is distinguished by a slowly developing, painless mass within the body. This mass is comprised of large, uniform epithelioid cells organized into solid nests or alveolar structures separated by delicate, sinusoidal vessels. A distinctive trait of this cancer is its early tendency to metastasize, most frequently to the lungs, bones, and brain.
