  Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a prevalent complication associated with connective tissue diseases (CTDs). While ILD can manifest across all CTDs, it is most frequently observed in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic sclerosis (SSc), and idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM). The potential risk factors vary depending on the underlying CTD. In the case of RA-associated ILD, advanced age, smoking, male gender, and the severity of RA disease score are strongly implicated. Diagnosis typically involves Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and High-Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT). For the management of systemic sclerosis-associated ILD, traditional immunosuppressive therapies such as mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) or cyclophosphamide (CYC) have been employed as initial treatments. Oxygen therapy should be administered based on assessments of resting, exercise, and nocturnal saturations to ensure patients maintain oxygen saturation above 88%. ...
