Bronchitis, involving inflammation within the bronchial tubes, presents in various forms, with acute and chronic being the most prevalent. Chronic bronchitis is frequently associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a group of lung conditions causing airflow obstruction and breathing difficulties. Treatment options comprise bronchodilators, corticosteroids, anticholinergic agents, and antibiotics.
